The security situation in Timor-Leste has been generally
calm.
On Wednesday in Ermera, a domestic dispute in Latefoho
sub-district resulted in the death of one man after his brother allegedly
struck him several times with a machete. UNPol and PNTL investigators have
attended the scene and are searching for the suspect.
Earlier today in Dili, UNPol attended six incidents,
including a fight in Comoro involving a group of about 20 people. The group
fled upon the arrival of the police.
On Wednesday afternoon, Formed Police Units and UNPol
officers responded to reports of a fight near Comoro Market in Dili. A
21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rock throwing. There were no
reports of any injuries.
The police advise to avoid travelling during the night to
the most affected areas. Please report any suspicious activities. You can call
