UNPol in East Timor Security Briefing 24 December 2006

The situation is relatively calm in all East Timor.

Yesterday, some unconfirmed reports of fighting in Kampung Baru and in Fomento area. Police attended all the situation clearing the area.

In Santa Cruz, during the night a group of 8 people got involved in a fighting. One person got injured.
